Mainely Code’s NORTHSTAR is a higher level of synthetic reasoning. Distributed Inference Cognition™ describes specialist reasoning brought together through executive arbitration, with provenance and operator-visible judgment. NORTHSTAR is in active development.
An AI coding assistant works on an engineering task. NORTHSTAR addresses the cognitive direction above specialist contributions: how a mission is decomposed, which advice is relevant, where uncertainty remains and what route the executive core recommends. Specialists advise; the executive core arbitrates.
Execution stays with the responsible product system. NORTHSTAR does not own product billing or acceptance, provider runtime lifecycle, or Network Fabric node truth. The optional Network Fabric lane is disabled by default; NORTHSTAR does not mutate nodes, sign network commands or establish effective network state.
