Justin Tahai is the Founder of Mainely Code, a Maine-built AI software company. His background in IT engineering and managed services informs his focus on practical tools, understandable controls, and work that can be checked.

In a technical environment, a confident answer is not the same thing as a working result. Mainely Code’s product direction puts scope, human judgment, evidence, and recovery alongside AI capability. The aim is to augment the people doing the work, not erase their responsibility or replace their judgment.

The mission: useful AI for more people.

Mainely Code’s mission is to make state-of-the-art AI accessible, usable, and approachable for Everyone. Buildroom—FREE EDITION gives that mission a practical starting point: a local AI coding application for compatible Windows hardware, without a paid Buildroom subscription or token purchases for local use.

Hardware still matters. Local models need enough memory and computing resources for the task, and AI-generated changes still need review. Making the starting point free does not mean pretending those limits disappear.

A family of tools, not one app with every job.

Buildroom is the local-first software engineer of the Mainely Code family. Northstar is the flagship cognitive platform in development, while Project Sasquatch is the cloud command-center experience.

Orb-Weaver focuses on UI/UX design. Growthroom is being developed for audience, content, and conversion. Provider focuses on inference and runtime responsibilities, and FORGE is the planned model-development workbench. SRAOSHA extends the family’s human-centered security direction.

The Great North is the ecosystem. Providence is the governed architecture behind it. Product pages distinguish what is available from what is still being developed.

Built in Maine. Made to be useful beyond it.
